Learning Styles Inventory
How well do you know your athletic learning tendencies?

  • What are your dominant learning modes?
  • What are the best ways for coaches to give you information?
  • What’s preventing you from learning athletic skills better?

The Learning Styles Inventory (LSI) poses a series of 80 well-researched questions about individual learning tendencies in 5 main areas (Learning Modes, Learning Preferences, Receptivity to Change, Learning Approach, and Optimal Learning). The LSI takes about 15 minutes to complete online.

Once completed, the LSI generates the Learning Styles Profile (LSP). The LSP portrays the results in graphic form in 20 separate categories related to athletic learning abilities. The LSP also includes explanations about what each of the learning category scores mean.

Teaching Styles Inventory for Coaches

The Teaching Styles Inventory (TSI) measures the different approaches coaches use in conveying their knowledge and experience to their athletes in practice sessions and lessons. The TSI addresses six critical areas involved in giving an effective lesson: Connecting, Assessing, Modal Teaching, Providing Input, Teaching Approach, and Concluding. The TSI takes about 15 minutes to complete online.
Once completed, The TSI generates the Teaching Styles Profile which portrays coaches’ individual approaches to facilitating athletic learning in graphic form in 21 separate categories with explanations of what each of the scores mean. You’ll understand the strengths and weaknesses in your teaching style, and why you’re very effective with some athletes but not others.
